Do you have overdue items from Brighton and Hove Libraries?

Don’t stay away, return them today we have many ways to pay!

Every year Brighton and Hove Council Library Services have to replace many popular and ‘in demand’ items that some of our customers fail to return despite being reminded to do so, and whilst these items remain outstanding the penalty charge accrues on a daily basis.

If you have overdue items or owe an outstanding charge and want to continue or start using the library again, please contact us to discuss your account and how we can help you.
We also have lots of ways you can pay your fees and charges.

Methods of payment
  • In person
  • Cash or cheque only at any library in Brighton and Hove
  • Debit or credit cards – available at Jubilee and Hove Libraries
  • Self service machines (cash only) available at Jubilee and Hove Libraries
  • Part Payment Plans - if you are unable to pay your charges in full, the library also offers a part payment scheme which can help spread the cost. If you are interested in taking up this option, please talk to member of staff or e-mail us at  libraries@brighton-hove.gov.uk  "Part Payment Plan Request"

The library also offers 24 hour online account access and a 24 hour automated telephone renewal service
