Homework Club

Study Support / Homework Clubs

Thanks to everyone who has attended our homework clubs. We will be celebrating your achievements before the end of this term.

Following council budget reductions to this service we have been seeking partnership funding for study support next academic year from September 2014. We have achieved funding for one year to run two homework clubs one at  Portslade Library and one at Westdene Library.

More details about these will follow

This means as things currently stand we will not run homework clubs next academic year at Coldean, Hangleton, Hove, Jubilee, Moulsecoomb, Patcham, Rottingdean, Saltdean, Whitehawk or Woodingdean Libraries or the two study support sessions for 13-19 year olds ‘We Love Mondays/Thursdays’ at Hove and Jubilee Libraries.

We will continue to try and develop other funding streams with schools, community and arts organisations and to consider potential alternative models to deliver study support and keep everyone informed as things develop.

And we will definitely keep in touch with all our homework club users. Keep using your local library for study, homework, meeting friends, activities and fun.

The summer reading challenge ‘Mythical Maze’  runs throughout the summer in all libraries.

If you are age 9-16 you can join up to a free Homework Club and get Study Support
