Regular activities

• Reading Group meets on the last Saturday of the month at 11am

• Local Councillor’s Open Surgery. Surgeries take place on the first Friday of each month between 4pm and 5pm.  Councillor Tony Janio will be available to talk over any local matters or problems, informally. No appointment necessary.

• Hangleton Library Poetry Group first Saturday of the month 10.30-11.30am

For children

• Children’s books: board books, picture books, fiction, DVDs and audiobooks

For young people

• Young people’s books: novels, non-fiction, reference books, DVDs and audiobooks
• Homework Club on Thursdays, 3.30-5pm

Available at Hangleton Library

• Books for loan, including fiction, non-fiction, a large print section, and a separate reference collection
• DVDs, CDs, audio books and language courses for hire
• Local history and essential skills collections
• Newspapers and periodicals

Internet and Computer access free

Use computers for word processing, access to the internet and all online services available in our Virtual Reference Library.  These include:

• Oxford Dictionary of National Biography
• Who’s Who
• Times Digital Archive
• Encyclopaedia Britannica
• Ancestry for family history research
• Range of assistive technology and furniture for disabled customers
