Hangleton Library has re-opened on limited hours
Following the extensive flood damage to Hangleton Library in October a range of initial repair work, drying out, and restoration of power, heat and light is now being completed.
Following the extensive flood damage to Hangleton Library in October a range of initial repair work, drying out, and restoration of power, heat and light is now being completed.
The library will be open on temporary hours for a limited period. The opening hours will be:
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 2-5.30pm;
Saturday 9.30am-1pm; 2-4pm
At other times, when the library is closed, repair work will continue on the upper floor ICT suite and lower floor office areas. This will continue into January.
Once this work is finished a refurbishment of the library will take place which will include:
- Re-carpeting
- New counter
- Improved layout and stock arrangement including a larger children’s area
- Improved ICT arrangement
The library will need to close for about two weeks in the new year to complete this refurbishment and will then reopen again on full hours.
Council Connect will reopen from Wednesday 7 December with new hours from 2-5pm
Homework Club will reopen at Hangleton 12 January 2012.

Hangleton Library is on West Way opposite Hangleton Dental Practice, just around the corner from the Grenadier Pub and served by Bus Nos. 5A/B, 27A, 16, 66 and 55.
