Reasons to visit Patcham Library  

Regular activities
  • Reading group, meets on the first Friday of each month at 11am
  • Local History group meets the first Saturday of each month at 10.30am
  • Council Connect - residents can get help using the internet and accessing council services through the web at these weekly sessions. Tuesdays 10-1pm
For children
  • Separate children’s library with board books, picture books, fiction and non-fiction, DVDs and audiobooks
  • Baby Boogie session on the second Tuesday of each month, 10.15-10.45am 
  • Pre-school story session with Michael Olden from Museum Services. Second Friday of the month 10.45-11.15am
  • Micro museum -  Artefact's, pictures and paintings of the local area in cases to view. There is also an interactive source of information for everyone to use.

For young people
  • Dedicated area for young people with fiction and non-fiction, reference books, DVDs and audiobooks
  • Homework Club on Tuesdays 3.30-5pm

  • IT suite for hire
Internet and Computer access free
  • Visit the IT suite computers for word processing, access to the internet and all online services available in our Virtual Reference Library.  These include
  • Oxford Dictionary of National Biography
  • Who’s Who
  • Times Digital Archive
  • Encyclopaedia Britannica
  • Ancestry for family history research
  • Range of assistive technology and furniture for disabled customers
