Reasons to visit Rottingdean Library  

Regular activities
  • Reading group meets on the first Thursday of each month at 11am
For children
  • Children’s books: board books, picture books, fiction, DVDs and audio books
  • Baby Boogie session on the fourth Thursday of each month, 10.15-10.45am
  • Stories, craft and singing with Clair (from the Early Childhood Project) for pre-school children. 10–11.30am: Mondays: 8 September, 22 September, 13 October, 10 November, 24 November, 8 December.
    Term-time only. Welcoming and inclusive group.
For young people
  • Young people’s books: novels, non-fiction, reference books, DVDs and audio books
  • Homework Club on Thursdays, 3.30-5pm
Available at Rottingdean Library
  • Books for loan, including fiction, non-fiction, a large print section, and a separate reference collection
  • DVDs, audio books and language courses for hire
  • Newspapers and periodicals
Internet and Computer access free

Use our computers for word processing, access to the internet and all online services available in our eLibrary. These include:

  • Who’s Who
  • Times Digital Archive
  • Encyclopaedia Britannica
  • Ancestry for family history research
  • Range of assistive technology and furniture for disabled customers
