Two visitors at the Gallery Cafe

The Gallery Cafe

Situated on the balcony overlooking the 20th Century Art & Design gallery in Brighton Museum, the Gallery Cafe is the place to enjoy delicious light lunches and traditional afternoon teas, whilst enjoying the wonderful ambience of the museum.

The Gallery Cafe has Five Stars (the top rating) in Brighton & Hove's 'Scores on the Doors' scheme for excellence in hygiene and food service standards and has also been awarded a Silver Healthy Choice Award for their Menu in December 2009.

As well as Lavazza Coffees and Twinings Teas, there is a varied menu of hot & cold savoury items available, from homemade soup to traditional sandwiches, all freshly made to order using high quality, locally sourced ingredients, including the popular dish of homemade Welsh Rarebit with sweet red onion relish.

The Gallery Cafe Kitchen makes all their own delicious scones, sponge cakes and meringues, for which customers return time & time again.

As our customers have said:
"the best homemade scones ever!"
"The BEST!!! cake ever, and a lovely smooth coffee"
"Excellent - in every way - an asset to the museum"

There are gluten & wheat free options available and a children's menu.
