Enhancing your group visit 

Two guided tours of Preston Manor are available for groups.

Maximum 30 people per tour. Larger groups can book two or more tours.

Please note that only in-house guides are permitted to conduct tours inside the building.

‘Upstairs Downstairs’ tour

Available all year
Duration 1 hour

During the Indian summer of Britain just before World War I, the Stanford family was living at Preston Manor with their 15 servants. The house remains as if they were still there. This tour will immerse you into the intimacy of a wealthy Edwardian family.

Ghost tour

Available all year (evenings only from 5pm)
Duration 90 minutes

During your tour, your group will hear spooky tales of the ghosts that have haunted Preston Manor through the ages, including Sister Agnes the medieval nun, the disembodied hand, the White Lady and the elegant Lady in Grey who descends the grand staircase with nowhere to go. You will learn about the creepy doors in the Manor that lock themselves, the lights that turn off for no reason and the ghostly hand seen holding onto a doorknob!
