You can now renew items 24 hours a day by telephone using our new automated renewals service.

Phone Renewals - Books

• You can renew your books if you want to keep them longer than three weeks unless they have been reserved.
• If you are unable to get to the library they can be renewed three times by telephone using our 24 hour Automated Telephone Renewal service or, if you prefer, ring your local library.
• You will need to have your library card number and PIN to use this service.
(If you do not have a PIN or have forgotten your PIN here's what you need to do.http://brighton-hove.spydus.co.uk/cgi-bin/spydus.exe/MSGTRN/OPAC/PIN or visit any Brighton & Hove Library bringing you library card and ID with you)
• To use this service please dial 0303 123 0035 and select the option for Brighton & Hove Libraries
• Calls to this number are charged at local rate.
• Ignoring the BHA at the front of your library card number, enter the first 8 digits.
• If you wish to renew an individual item you will need to enter the barcode number from the inside cover of the book.

Phone Renewals - CDs, DVDs and Spoken Word

• You can renew your CDs, DVDs if you want to keep them longer than a week or 3 weeks for spoken word unless they have been reserved. The hire charge will be added to your card
