Multi Media guides

The guides are free with admission and provide fascinating background and factual information as you take your tour of the Royal Pavilion, including an audio tour, interview clips with members of staff, plus images and videos.

Currently available in English, easy English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Russian, Mandarin, a visually impaired tour, a British Sign Language tour and a special tour for children.

Collect your multi media guide at the admission desk.

As you move from room to room, you will

  • learn more about the history of the Royal Pavilion
  • receive an in-depth guide to each room and its furnishings, and
  • listen to informative and entertaining historical detail about George IV and the Regency era.

Mulit media guides are also available for groups

Please note that during July and August we do not admit unbooked groups into the Royal Pavilion at the weekends. The building is very busy at these times. Please book your group in with our bookings team, who will be able to give you a time slot for entry.

Disabled visitors

The Royal Pavilion is accessible (ground floor only) to wheelchair users, with facilities for the visually impaired and hard of hearing.

Pavilion Dining Rooms

Our spacious Dining Rooms, with a sunny balcony overlooking the Royal Pavilion gardens, offers light lunches, daily specials, and teas with home-made cakes and scones. The Dining Rooms is on the upper floor.

Cloakroom facilities

Please note there are no cloakroom facilities at the Royal Pavilion.

Bags and luggage must be kept with you at all times.

There is a buggy park on the ground floor (any items left are at the owner's risk).

Toilets are located near the entrance desk (accessible toilet and baby changing available) and also on the upper floor.



A visit to the Royal Pavilion is a unique experience for all the family.
