The Red Drawing Room
The historic Red Drawing Room is the venue for both civil marriage and civil partnership ceremonies. Retaining much of George IV’s original 1820s decorative scheme, the room features red dragon wallpaper and palm tree pillars.
Located on the ground floor of the Royal Pavilion and not open to the general public, the Red Drawing Room has a private entrance leading directly from the restored Regency gardens.
The Red Drawing Room can be hired for ceremonies throughout the year (except Christmas Day and Boxing Day) between the hours of 10am and 5pm. Both civil marriage and civil partnership ceremonies are performed by the Brighton & Hove Register Office (an additional fee is payable direct to them for this service).
