Garden volunteers maintain the restored Regency gardens

Volunteering

We have up to 160 volunteers who contribute their time towards the goals of the Royal Pavilion, Museums and Libraries in Brighton & Hove.

They are a wide variety of people ranging from those retired from previous employment to students on placements.

They help us in many ways including

  • helping at events
  • recording our collections
  • maintaining our gardens
  • supporting our front line services
  • helping housebound residents with library book choices and collection and delivery

A much smaller number of volunteers, around 60, help on a weekly basis, and others help on specific projects or for certain tasks. Some of our volunteers have written about their experiences on our blog.

Would you like to become one of our volunteers? Please contact visitor.services@brighton-hove.gov.uk or telephone 03000 290900 and say you are keen to volunteer.
