Chinese New Year Half-term Events 

There are lots of Chinese New Year half-term events from making Chinese Lanterns to a Year of the Tiger Storytelling Workshop.

Jubilee Library

Year of the Tiger - Storytelling Workshop
Stories, crafts and drama for Chinese New Year (Run by Dragon Drama)
Thursday 18 February, 2.30-3.30pm

Screening of family film about a pair of tiger cubs (Certificate U)
Friday 19 February, 2.30pm  (running time 109mins)

 

Coldean Library

Origami Tigers & Shadow Puppet Theatre
A Shadow Puppet Theatre and materials for making puppets will be available from 15-20 February.
Just drop in to make a puppet for our shadow theatre, all completed puppets will receive a fortune cookie!
On Saturday 20 February, there will be an opportunity to perform your own play to others.
Age 4-10 years

Hangleton Library

New Year Door Hanger and colouring-in (ages 4-10)
Saturday 20 February, 10-11.30am

Hollingbury Library

Decorate a Chinese New Year Tiger (children of all ages)
Come into the Library over half-term and decorate a tiger for our jungle wall and win a prize! Materials are provided. Entries in by Monday 22 February

Mile Oak Library

Concertina Dragons (ages 7-12) and Masks (ages 4-6)
Thursday 18 February, 3.30-4.30pm or 5-6pm
This is a FREE EVENT but pre-booking is essential as places are limited.
