Educational Activities for Children Aged 4-7
You are probably aware that China increasingly plays an important role in the world. “Get Ahead, Learn Mandarin” as they said in Time magazine (Monday, 19 June 2006).
We have monthly Chinese activities for children in Hove Library run by a group of friendly and experienced Chinese teachers. Our staff all come from an educational background and have been trained to work with children in the UK. They are full of passion to introduce their culture heritage to British children.
The activities are designed to improve children’s study abilities while Chinese language, arts and traditional virtues are embedded. They are run on 2nd Saturday of each month. Topics and dates for 2012 are:
Saturday 11 Feb 10-11am: Chinese stories
Saturday 10 Mar 10-11am: Chinese characters and calligraphy
Saturday 14 April 10-11am: Children martial arts
Saturday 12 May 10-11am: Chinese pattern drawing or colouring
Saturday 9 June 10-11am: Chinese table manners and chopsticks
