Look out! Giant lizards, snakes and the world’s largest species of tarantula return to invade the Booth Museum. Find out all about these fascinating creatures; the countries they come from, their natural habitats and what they like to eat. Get as close as you dare to these creepy, slithery and scaly mega beasts!


All children must be accompanied by a paying adult. 


Please note

At the Early Years and Families events all children must be accompanied by their parent or guardian. At these events we ask that you assist your child with the activity. At the activities for children 8 years and over children will be under the supervision of a tutor.

How to book

You can buy tickets by telephoning the Events Booking line on 03000 290902, in person at any of our venues, or online below. A £1.50 booking fee may apply to some events. Tickets cannot be reserved without payment. Please book early as an event may be cancelled if too few tickets have been sold.

Booth Museum of Natural History

Founded by Edward Booth in 1874 the Booth Museum is all about birds, butterflies, fossils, bones and skeletons. Natural history is brought to life with interactive displays and ‘hands on’ activities. Entrance is free.
