Apply for a job at Preston Manor as a servant and find out!

Come dressed as Victorians and take on servants’ duties, both upstairs and downstairs. Our Living History household staff will judge if you are suitable for the job.

Children spend the whole session in role as Victorians and use real Victorian artefacts in the historic setting of Preston Manor.

Situations Vacant – Victorian role play
KS2 Apply for a job as a servant at Preston Manor and come in role, to be shown the tasks of servants by the housekeeper and maids of the manor.

Victorian Manor House Activities
KS1 Experience Victorian life both upstairs and downstairs and come dressed as a Victorian yourself.

Preston Manor is a charming historic house on the outskirts of Brighton & Hove. Decorated and furnished in Edwardian style with elegant ‘upstairs’ reception rooms and bedrooms and ‘downstairs’ kitchens and servants’ rooms. Entrance fee payable.
