Join the Museum Collective
What is it?
The Museum Collective is a team of people aged 16 to 21 years old who organise and run events at the Royal Pavilion & Museums as well as play a crucial role as a young people’s advisory group.
Why?
- Get work experience in the arts
- Get experience and skills in events management
- Explore behind-the-scenes in the museum
- Take part in art and design sessions
- And most importantly, try something different, meet new people and have fun
What will you do?
Lots of unusual, practical and useful things such as:
- Coming up with ideas for and organising events
- Advising exhibition designers
- Meeting different staff from the museums and hearing about their jobs
- Helping with the press & marketing for an event
- Attending meetings as representatives
- Going behind the scenes into places such as the museum store rooms
When and where?
The Museum Collective meet every three weeks at Brighton Museum (entrance in the Pavilion Gardens in town opposite the Royal Pavilion) from 6 to 8pm.
