Brighton Museum filming 

The recently renovated Brighton Museum & Art Gallery is situated in the heart of Brighton’s cultural quarter and forms part of George IV’s original stable complex. 

The renovation has transformed the museum into a light, spacious and airy state-of-the-art museum with user-friendly galleries and exhibits.

It provides an adaptable location for all kinds of professional filming and photography with backdrops suitable for documentaries, fashion shoots and promotional filming.

What parts of Brighton Museum are available for filming?

All public gallery spaces. (Access in some temporary exhibitions may be limited).

Are there any conditions?

We ask photographers and production companies to respect the sensitive nature of a city-centre museum.

Should I make a recce first?

Yes. We always recommend that you make a preliminary visit to identify likely locations and to discuss the practicalities with us.

What are the fees?

If your shoot needs to be supervised by Brighton Museum or requires any special access we will charge a facility fee.

Our standard fees are charged by the hour (or part of an hour) and are subject to VAT.

Interiors

Daytime (Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm) £200
Evenings and weekends £300

Exteriors

Daytime (Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm) £150
Evenings and weekends £200

We will calculate special fees for the more complicated projects, for example those that require more than one camera crew, shooting at night, or changes to the usual displays.

Do I need to book in advance?

Yes.  All bookings must be made in advance.
